I'll be there for you

There are countless painful and scary things happening in the world. Opening up any social media platform and reading any sort of news is just breaking my heart every single day. We have been praying for world peace for generations. How would it be if praying for peace in each and everyone's mind is the most important prayer we could pray right now? The battle within ourselves sparks everything else.

Amongst all of the heartbreaking news, comes a heartbreaking loss. Just lost my uncle last week and this week the world lost a friend. Matthew Perry will always be remembered by people who didn't know him personally as Chandler Bing, the guy who could create an atmosphere of joy in any situation. Hands down my favorite character. Through everything I've read and followed up on Matthew, he was a man whose been through personal battles and fought through it. We would never understand what he was going through and how he overcame but he had a prayer to help people and it was beautiful. He had 54 years, he spent alot of it making people laugh. Laughter is the best medicine we say. But behind every person who lives to make someone smile or laugh, is someone who works just to get up everyday and find joy within themselves as well. It can be pretty hard, when you have heavy battles to face yet people expect you to create an environment of joy.
This man brought joy to the world and I'm sure people around him even through his struggles like many before him. The one thing we learnt through any situation like this is to be there for people, we are all struggling yes! Yet there is a spark of hope we can pass to each other to help us to keep moving. It only takes a spark to get a fire going ,Pass it on an old hymn read.

A song that is remembered through generations now.

I'll be there for you - The remembrandts
(When the rain starts to pour)
Whether it's in good times or bad times if we really care for at least one person we stand with. We carry the burden though heavy or light and through it all we can fight.
I'll be there for you
(Cause you're there for me too)
We were created to uphold each other through all the darkness going on whether within ourselves or all around us.

We were called to help others. Just like Matthew Perry chose to do. We are not just living for ourselves, no matter how long we have, we are living for at the very least one other person.

Book with Wisdom spelled on it

Last week, I lost my uncle. We weren't very close but my mum and him grew up together. I travelled across the border for his funeral. Hearing about him from everyone being impacted was just rather beautiful.

From a Policeman to a Professor. That is his story. A man who never stopped learning until his last. Lecturing was his passion and he did so in an unforgettable way. His greatest advice to everyone was always to study and upgrade. He never stopped living out his passion until the end. He had consistency and he held on to Faith through everything.

I may not have gotten a chance to know him better personally but I learned one thing, when you impact others people will get to know you through all those whose lives you've touched. That really matters! Even if it's just one life! Make a difference and make a lasting impression. Your life may end but your journey will live on through others who have had the opportunity to know you and be impacted by you.

I have so much to learn about life itself. I know we all do because it's a neverending journey.

A fool is someone who thinks he knows everything. Everything cannot be finished in one lifetime.

When you don't outgrow your childhood...

Sometimes we think that just because a person is nice to us, they will be happy for us when we get an accomplishment. The sad truth is that it's not always the truth. Sometimes the people we expect applause from pass us remarks that can be rather degrading. Yes humans aren't perfect but some of us do not have filters. Some people would get upset at you for winning. Even if you don't always seek the praises but you deserve it. Then there are those who hate you for sometimes unknowingly doing something to them that they knowingly did to you many times and never found remorse it what they did.

That shows maturity in the situation. We usually teach kids to take correction ,to not be envious of another and it's sad how most of us do not outgrow certain childish behaviours. We tend to hold on to grudges and childish competitiveness that cause hurt to someone else who is NOT in a competition with us at ALL. Rather some of them are trying to be a friend. Being self centered is not the same as having self love. Self love is the conscious effort to appreciate how far you've come and celebrate you but you still can be selfless in the process whereas self centeredness involves a completely selfish approach to alot of situations. When we always expect others to do everything according to what WE want and you never give them an option. When they don't choose what we want, we tend to react in a hostile manner.

When you have Self love you encourage others to love themselves as well in a way that is positive and NOT selfish at all. So be careful with yourself and around others. May no one ever feel hurt around you but loved and comforted. Choose to outgrow childish habits and revaluate oneself at all times. How to speak to, care for and understand another. We are all still learning everyday, but the goal is to mature.

The world of whirlwind Emotions

The thing about our emotions is that as much as they can be in our control. The control eventually loses it's grip. We will never be able to understand how one moment we can be the happiest person in a room and slowly turn into the saddest person sitting all alone and wondering why.

Life has so many ups and downs - which lead to many celebrations and disappointments. It feels like we are constantly battling to keep our mental health intact. How do we do that?
There is never a straight answer as it all depends on an individual. Our coping mechanisms vary. Not everyone has an easy way of coping with the draining the world causes us. It's a lot to deal with when you feel like the world is heavy on your shoulders.

Well, don't diminish what you feel. Yes, someone always has it worse but what you go through is as important to YOU. Embrace your emotions and your brokenness. To heal you have to FEEL. Crying is healing. I do not like the term "do not cry". I believe a lot of the tears I have cried about situations helped me overcome them. I don't cry about the same things anymore.

There is comfort in the tears - Crying is healing. When there are no words to pray, just pray with your tears and embrace your process of healing. There should not be a rule on healing oneself. It is your own personal journey and you are allowed to FEEL to HEAL.
